Trump's Hush Money Trial: Jury Deliberations Begin

Trump's Lawyers Make Final Pleas

Jury to Decide on Guilty Verdict for 34 Counts

On the first day of jury deliberations in the trial of former President Donald Trump for alleged hush money payments, his lawyers made their final pleas to the jury. Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of racketeering, conspiracy, and falsifying business records.

Trump's attorneys argued that he was unaware of the illegal scheme to conceal payments made to two women who alleged affairs with him. They also alleged that the trial was politically motivated.

Prosecutors countered by presenting evidence that Trump was directly involved in the payments and that he misled investigators about his knowledge of them. They urged the jury to hold Trump accountable for his actions.

The jury is now deliberating the verdict. If convicted, Trump could face significant prison time.
